The aims of the Chamber shall include:
- To promote and develop the interests of all businesses within, and of all those trading in the area of Antrim. The Area is defined as the District Electoral Areas (DEAs) of Antrim, Dunsilly and Airport and may be amended to include adjoining areas wishing to participate in the Chamber. Businesses wanting to join from outside the 3 DEAs will be given associate membership.
- To promote the strength of the area and its businesses through promotions and joint destination marketing campaigns.
- To act as spokesperson in lobbying the interests of businesses in the Area to government bodies, central and local government, trade groups/bodies and other interested parties.
- To develop marketing strategies and plans relevant to the community of business interests in the Area.
- To identify projects, prepare, present and help implement proposals to put to government bodies, central and local government, trade groups/bodies and other interested parties.
- To exchange ideas, experiences and to identify opportunities.
- To contribute to making the Area a vibrant, successful and safe area.
- To organise and promote social and cultural activities and events for the enhancement of the community in the Area in a common effort to carry out the aims of the Chamber.
- To liaise with community and voluntary sector and any other local groups or bodies in the development of initiatives for business and community involvement and events in the Area.
- To identify and implement practical projects that enhance the local environment and neighbourhood in the Area
- To encourage relationships between the Chamber and government bodies, central and local government, trade groups/bodies and other interested parties.
- To request, raise and accept funding from public bodies or any other appropriate source to benefit the aims of the Chamber.
- All such other acts as the Management Committee deem appropriate.
